 It gives me GREAT pleasure to announce: SCORE Launch 9/5/26 is a GO!

We have been given permission by the Pueblo County Sheriff's office to proceed with this launch. I am hoping this will be a permanent situation. Especially since the launch after this one is Chili Blaster.

Setup for the launch will begin at 7:30am. There will be a Safety Briefing for all fliers at 8am. When that Safety briefing is completed launching can begin. The launch will end when there are no more rockets to fly, the weather shuts us down, or 4pm; whichever comes first.

The current forecast is for mid-60s to start with an expected high in the low-90s. and winds are estimated to be a breezy 6mph for the start of the day increasing to 8mph around noon.. There is no rain chance in the current forecast. Keep in mind we MUST halt flight operations if the wind speed is consistently above 20mph. Also, if a Red Flag warning is posted for the day the launch must be cancelled.

Due to an overwhelming number of existing T-shirts, all existing T-shirts are on sale for $5/each.
We prefer payments for items in cash.

Things to remember:

The gate has been replaced by a cattle guard. You can now drive over that slowly to access the road to the launch site.

1. All fliers must sign the Landowner Waiver sheet that will be at the RSO\Safety Check table.
2. If you are intending to attempt a NAR or Tripoli High Power certification flight, there is a signup sheet for that at the same table.
3. If you are planning on flying High Power engines be prepared to show your NAR or Tripoli membership card to confirm your certification level.
4. Rocketeers are reminded they are responsible for damage caused by rockets landing on cars in the parking lot (or anywhere else). Earlier this year a rocket landed on a car and left a dent that cost $2040 to repair. For Tripoli members the deductible is $2500 and for the NAR it is $5000 (I.e. the flyer is responsible for the first $2500 TRA and $5000 NAR before insurance kicks in).
5. NO alcoholic beverages may be consumed while the range is active. This includes beverages labeled non-alcoholic that are produced by companies that DO produce alcoholic beverages. Casual observers won't be able to tell the difference, and we want to set the best example possible.
6. NO smoking or electronic cigarettes are permitted on that range while the range is active.
7. NO running is permitted in the rocket prep area or around the launch pad area. We STRONGLY recommend that running does not occur anywhere on the range. There are numerous groundhog holes and other obstacles throughout the range and if you're not paying attention injuries can occur.
8. There will be a flag rope barrier to separate the rocket prep area and the active range. Please DO NOT go over or under this barrier. It is there for everyone's safety.
9. While rockets are in the air, it is important that you listen to what is going on. When a 'HEADS UP' is called stop what you are doing and look up and around to locate the concern. If it is a rocket descending into your general area, please point to the descending rocket and repeat the 'HEADS UP'. If the rocket is coming towards you, do not turn around and run blindly away. Instead, keep your eyes on it and step out of the path of the rocket as it approaches. Remember, it is a violation of the Safety Codes to catch a rocket.
10. There is an onsite Port-a-Potty for everyone's use. Please remember to close the lid when you have finished utilizing it. This helps keep the flying insect from getting where we don't want them to be. Also, it helps keep the proper air flow going.
